Our Philosophy

Here at Rose Up, our motto is “If you want to go far, go together.” We believe that growth and greatness are born through community — when artists uplift, inspire, and move alongside one another.

Just as a rose symbolizes love, strength, and passion, being part of this community means honoring the gift of movement — not only as a form of expression but as a powerful force for connection, healing, and storytelling. Together, we rise, create, and continue the legacy of those who’ve inspired us to dance with purpose.

Our Roots

Rose Up was officially founded in May 2025 by Sadiqka Reid, known artistically as Sadi Rose. The inspiration for its creation came on the birthday of her late high school Dance Director, Ms. Kimberly Elliott — a mentor whose guidance, passion, and artistry continue to live on through every movement we make. May she rest in peace.

Through Sadi’s years as a dancer, choreographer, and director, she discovered how profoundly dance can transcend performance — delivering powerful messages, inspiring connection, and uplifting entire communities. Rose Up was born from that realization: a space where creativity flourishes, stories are shared through movement, and artists rise together with purpose.
